These past few days have been the craziest. We came home to visit Wednesday afternoon. The craziness started when we left at 5:20pm with my family to go out to eat 40 minutes away at Copeland’s…
We took the city’s new section of our loop and it took longer than we expected. At dinner, I realize that Scott had left my dress shoes at home and that I only had tennis shoes to wear with my skirt to work the next day. I was actually pretty pscyhed as that was the best excuse for a shoe shopping trip I’ve had in awhile. The plan was to go to Target to find something (since Emma also needed milk) and if nothing was found, swing by Payless which was in the same parking lot. I found a pair at Target, but they weren’t really what I would normally wear, but they matched. So of course I had to go to Payless. I hit the jackpot! Scott was paying for the first THREE pairs of shoes when I stuck a fourth on the counter. So we get down the road and I realize I left my purse at the restaurant. Ah! Oh, and in the meantime, we are trying to make sure we are at home for the The Bacholerette show. So we finally get home at 9:30!! Well, I realize that not only did Scott forget my dress shoes, he also forget my dress CLOTHES! So now I only had shoes, but no clothes! By this time it was 11pm and I ended up rummaging through my mom’s closet and found an elastic skirt to wear, which actually matched my brand new red heels!
Yesterday my nephew Kyle got suspended from school for the second time. One more time and he gets sent to the alternative school. It was very tense over at my in-laws house. My nephew was even crying. He is STARVING for attention. He told Scott that and finally told his mother that was the reason he had such an attitude, he is tired of his family not paying any attention to him. His grades have slipped and now he is acting up. The sad thing is, he has so much potential. In the past they have put the energy to helping him in his school work and he has put out A’s. He just needs time from them. The thing that makes me mad is my sister-in-law has started working with our rescue squad again?? What?? You have a two month old and a teenager starving for attention and you’re going to spend hours helping who? I am totally into her working with the squad but not when her children will suffer for it! Ok, I have to get off this subject before I get mad!
This morning Scott went back to Columbia for his allergy appointment. I have been telling him for quite awhile that it is not normal that he cannot breath or smell most of the time. He finally said if I set up an appointment, he would go. So he did. He has pollups (sp?). He can either take medicine or get them taken out, which may do no good since they can grow back. So, they put him on medicine for two weeks and then will have to use Flonase. Although it does not necessarily mean he has allergies, he is going for a skin test next week just to see. It is bad he has to take medicine, but I think he will be amazed when he can actually breath. The dr. said it would be 90% difference! I also feel better knowing I knew what I was talking about. I hate nothing more than going to the dr and them saying they don’t think anything is wrong.
Today we went and had Kyle, Skyler and Emma’s picture taken. I was quite disappointed with the photographer and their packages, but it was a cool studio and we got the pictures after only waiting 20 minutes. It was crazy though! The girls were both tired and Emma was scared when we set her there and walked away. And of course she just wanted to walk around. We did get one picture of the three of them, one of each of them and one of Skyler and Kyle. The one of Emma by herself is quite adorable. I’ll have to scan it in.
