Still not good at making up titles.
Well, today didn’t go nearly like I planned. Except for the fact I didn’t forget Go Diego Go show. The girls got up well before normal time at 7am. I turned on my tv and brought them in my room to watch cartoons and play while I tried to stay in that keep-my-eyes-closed-but-still-awake-enough-to-listen mode until 8ish. We were out the door before 10 for the show with SIL and her daughter.
The show started a little late and was way longer than the Dora show that was similar. The girls loved it. We were sitting on the highest balcony and Lexi kept waving hoping for someone to wave back. I think Diego finally did and she was quite satisfied with that. Emma says the Balbos (sp?) were her favorite and I think Baby Jaguar was Lexi’s. Lexi sat in my lap the entire time and Emma sat next to me. They were both well behaved. The only bad thing is Lexi insisted in being carried so I had to carry her all around downtown. I did convince her to walk up the stairs by herself though. We stopped at McD’s on the way home and ate there since there were so many people in the drive-thru. So by the time we did that and picked up SIL’s van at our house, dropped all the girls off at MIL’s and got home, it was 2:30. And I was SO tired. The whole gym thing was out the door but I really needed to clean. So I put my hair up and really intended to do that but I laid down on the bed thinking I never am able to take a nap, but if I can, I’m just going to do it. Needless to say, Scott woke me up when he got home after 5pm. Yeah. No exercising and no cleaning. We left as soon as he signed off from work and headed out for dinner and some Father’s Day shopping. I’ve done some cleaning this evening but nothing major. In the meantime, we’ve had a little house drama. Apparently Scott saw a rat run behind our tv and go in a hole in the wall that he has some wires run through. So he had to run out the store and get foam and traps and poison and whatever else he got. Emma has obsessed about rats since then. She genuinely seems scared. But questions about how big they were and whether they could fit in doors or windows or whether Daddy had killed all the rats in the world and where rats live and on and on. I’m getting back every question I ever asked my mother.
So tomorrow is church and lunch with my parents while Scott works and then we’ll do dinner with Scott’s family. That should do it for the weekend.
