OK, today’s the last day of October. You know, in case you haven’t seen a calendar today. Sorry, I’m being silly.
Although I gave an update the other day on PayPerPost, I wanted to give a full monthly update since this is the last day of the first month. I technically didn’t start posting until October 7 for PPP and I think October 11 for PayU2Blog so this is actually only 3 weeks of posts.
This got really long, so read the rest of the entry…
Here’s my little spreadsheet for money earned in October. I probably won’t get paid for most of these until some time in November though.
TLA $ 14.67
Blogsvertise $ 28.00
Sponsored Reviews $ 13.00
PPP $ 297.64
PU2B $ 90.00
Bloggerwave $ 10.00
Total $ 453.31
Wow, I didn’t really expect that much myself. And that’s not even a full month. I have posted A LOT of paid posts. And because I’m so
detailed oriented and worried about doing things the right way, I’ve rationalized it all out. I’ve made 166 posts in all of October. 36 of those have been paid posts. That means 78% of the post are still non-sponsored posts and I would say of the 22% that’s not sponsored, 95% of those have "me" tied into them somehow. So I think it’s all good. I’m never really excited when I have to tie in phrases like protective underwear but I try my best.
And for those of you wanting to get into it…here are some pros/cons of each "employer"
TLA– Completely done behind the scene and unobtrusive. I think everyone should have this installed. Easy, easy money that pays once a month on time.
Blogsvertise – Have to wait 30 days for your post to be on there and they assign you posts sparingly.
Sponsored Reviews – Pay is regular but you have to bid on posts and they don’t get approved that often for me.
PPP – Obviously the big money maker. But you have to wait about 30 days for the pay and they seem to picky about approving the posts. You also have to monitor the queue often in order to get good posts. They go quickly. But $300 a month?? I’m in.
PU2B Pay is consistently every 2 weeks. Odd keyword sometimes and you have to take ALL the assignments.
Bloggerwave $ 10.00 – Only one post from them so far and no payment. This one is sketchy so far.
And while we’re at it, I know I said I wanted to pay our van off but I’m starting to realize we’re going to need this money to finish paying off our credit card from all of our outrageous summer spending, the fridge we had to buy and Christmas. At this rate, the van will be on target again at the beginning of the year.
So in all that, I’d like to say "thank you" to my readers.
