Reading the Bible in 90 days has some great personal benefits but I saw another one last night. Yesterday I read Leviticus and boy is that chapter bor-ring. So I split it up and was reading it right before the girls went to bed. They came in my room and saw me reading and asked what I was doing. I was happy to say, "I’m reading the Bible." They don’t ever see me do that much and I would like for them to see that more. But what was cute is Emma asked me to read a story and then Lexi says, "Read me Jesus." Isn’t that sweet?

Thankful Thursday
This week I’m thankful for:
-
Help in our youth group. Between the new youth pastor and possible music lead, I’m psyched.
-
New Grey’s Anatomy episode tonight…haha…
-
Allison for helping me a bunch this week
-
A great host who’s customer service rocks!
-
The Bible in 90 Days group. I love that I’m sticking to it.
-
The rain last night and today.
hi, i’m amy and i hate making up titles
Tonight was actually enjoyable at youth. That sounds horrible but I’ve been dreading it recently because of the whole band thing. This week we talked to a guy in our church G who is apparently very passionate (and good) at singing and music in general. He is PSYCHED about it which makes me PSYCHED that he’s PSYCHED. Now we just need students that can come regularly to practices. I say “we” but I’m not really sure I mean “we”. I think I may hang in there and go to practices and maybe sing backup to him with a few other youth but ultimately I’d like to be out of the loop. We’ll see. I really do like singing so I don’t mind singing with someone who can lead which I know he can do. Yay!
I do have to say my feelings were a wee bit hurt tonight…K gave all the kids chances for Q&A and he asked what needed changed and in a split second a few said The Band! I was like OUCH. Part of me wanted to cry, part of me wanted to quit on the spot, part of me wanted to say you wouldn’t have had ANY band if I hadn’t stepped in to help and snapped my fingers and part of me wanted to say AMEN, the band sucks. I really do wish we could have been more successful on our own but you can only do so much with what talent your given.
So here I am again Interneting my life away…so much to do, so little time.
Works for Me Wednesday: Backwards Edition
This week we have to ask the blog world for tips on something instead of giving advice. My question this week is…
I need to learn Flash and quick….anyone have a good online course/site for me. Also, anyone know of good template (?) sites to build a site?

I’M JUST TOO BUSY
Last night was great no doubt. D&M and Heather were over for the big season premiere. I blogged my little fingers off and everyone was great and helped me out if I missed something. My stats are way up and I hope it continues to increase. But I’m still not making squat off of it but my Internet friend Allison is helping me out. When there’s not much return, it’s just not worth my time away from my family. And believe me, it’s taking so much time. And there’s so much more I could do with it.
And then there’s regular work and church and the kids and the 90 days thing and blogging and couponing and other stuff I want to do and I’M JUST TOO BUSY. I don’t know what, if anything, I’m going to do about it. Right now I’m just frustrated and really don’t want to give anything up. Bleh.
My day in food so far
That premiere day I blogged all day
Today is a busy day. I got up early and got ready knowing I’d be quite busy. Scott works again today so I have to be the one to do the shuttling back and forth to school. I was supposed to have band practice at 5 but that got canceled and then we have a meeting at 7 about the big Julian Drive concert our church is sponsoring.
The big news causing all my busyness is today is the premiere day for One Tree Hill. That means lots of appearances and articles to keep up with on my OTH blog. Also, two of the youth are coming over to watch the premiere with me–I’m a great influence aren’t I?? One of them is actually a college student and the other already watched the show and got permission from her guardian to come over. Anyway. I plan to blog about all that tonight and that doesn’t end until 10. The good news is my stats are already hitting averages we’ve had and it’s only lunch time and the premiere hasn’t even shown yet.
Somewhere in there I’m doing my real job and taking care of the girls.
