More Lexi-isms

February 4, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

Lexi is at such a great age for funny stuff.  Have two today.

We missed a birthday party of a girl in Lexi’s class this weekend and I wondered if I mentioned a few names whether she’d pipe up and tell me we’d missed the party.  So I was trying to get info from Lexi about what kids were at school.  I asked her about the little girl K whose party we missed.  And here’s the convo

Me: Was K at school?

Lexi: No.

Emma: Was she at the doctors or did she go on vacation?

Lexi (very matter of factly): She went on vacation to see the doctors.

Wow, what a bum vacation.

*******************

Emma and Lexi are sitting on the recliner after their baths right now and this is the convo I hear:

Emma has the detangler posed right at her mouth and getting ready to spray and says: Yeah, do it like this, it will taste good, I promise.

I see the situation and intercept: Emma!  Don’t spray that in our mouth!  It will make you sick!

Lexi: Yeah, Emma, don’t do that. *pause* I will get a baby in my tummy. A real one.

I’m not dead, just busy

February 4, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

Sunday was another really busy day.  Church, dinner, youth council meeting, CVS trip, Super Bowl party.  Can I just say I missed the Giants big win?  I got in the shower at 1:30 left assuming the Patriots would win and even thought to myself I bet I miss a big upset.

Today I’m going into work…can’t post there so I’ll be back on later tonight.

Paci!

February 2, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

Lexi surprisingly gave up her pacifier last year but has asked for it a few times since. Tonight was one of them. Lexi was crying in bed tonight and had her blankie up at her face and then the conversation went like this:

Lexi (still crying and whining): Paccc-eeee!

Me: Paci? You aren’t a baby anymore, silly!

Lexi (very dramatic and still crying and very serious): I’m crying like a baby! I’m a baa-beee!

Poor thing. I couldn’t help but laugh. I guess we’ve told her to quit crying like a baby a time or two.

CVS February Monthly Deals

February 2, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

Tonight was a good night. I tried to buy every monthly deal Crystal mentioned but they were out of a few of them.  Here’s how it went down:

Precision Diabetes Monitor
5 Chewable Baby Aspirin (the add says Children’s but the box does not and it works)
3 Nutri Gum
2 CVS Fabric Softener
Revlon Nail Polish (50% off)
2 Garnier Face Cleansers (a deal from this week–we found the tearpad while we were there)

Used $2 CVS Revlon coupon
Used 2 $2 Garnier Tearpad Coupons
Used $2.50/10 CVS Pain Reliever Coupon
Used $41 ECBs

Total oop .48

Savings today were $128

Earned $49.81 ECBs

FYI, Scott says the Nutri Gum is very tasty.

Wow, what a day

February 2, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

My eyes hurt, I just ate dinner and I’m really tired.

Today doesn’t even feel like it happened.  I woke up at 9, right when I was supposed to be at the church to help prepare tomorrow’s choir dinner.  I made it over there by 10 after grabbing some Starbuck’s on the way.  And then I never left the church until almost 7pm.  Seriously.  I stayed through and helped the youth group with the concession stand at the basketball game.  Scott was with me and MIL brought the girls by a few times to eat lunch and stuff.  I actually had a lot of fun doing it.  The youth did most of the work and I was just there to relax, chat it up with some of the girls and help keep the kids on point a time or two.

Emma and Lexi went to MIL’s neighbors Elmo birthday party and they were still there when we got done at the church so we went there to pick them up.  We came home and the girls went right to bed.

Heather and I made a trip to CVS to do their new monthly February deals (more on that next) and now I feel like crashing.

And I still have one more really full day.

It’s late and all I have to talk about is Arbonne

February 2, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

OK, so Scott made us coffee for my Arbonne party and now I can’t sleep.  No great devotion forthcoming…I’ll just talk about Arbonne.  Arbonne is basically a skin care line.  They also have makeup and health products but the skin care sells it.  Since D’s last party, I have used the samples and can already tell a difference in my skin.  And seeing the amount of time and money I’ve already forked out for my acne prone skin, that says a lot.

I didn’t think I was going to buy too much tonight though but Mom was into it and decided to do their huge buy $350 worth of product and get $350 for free we did that together.  I had some money from the previous show for deciding to host and all in all, I came out with probably $1,000 worth of product for $200 something.  A lot to fork out at once but I got a TON of stuff.  Let me show you why.  I’m telling you, they just need to show these pictures and it sells itself.  (Sorry for the redundancy if you’ve attended some of their parties)

**Insert amazing before and after pictures..I can’t get Live Writer to save it and I don’t feel like uploading pictures…just click here to see pictures of dry feet, cellulite, wrinkles and acne that have all been helped by Arbonne*

The best part?  Some of these results are within TWO WEEKS.  Crazy, I tell you.

I have no idea why I’m doing a write up on Arbonne except to say I think it could really help some people.  I’m technically a consultant now (but not where I’m going to do my own shows or anything…you can pay $29 to become a “consultant” and buy the products wholesale yourself) and could get you some products if you’re interested, but that’s not why I’m writing this.  I had no clue about Arbonne up until a few weeks ago and now I’m sold!  I have yet to see if everything works on me, but I’ll be taking before pictures of my cellulite–and don’t argue with me, I DO have it–and maybe my feet and face as well and if it works, I’ll post my own before and after pictures.

In the middle of it

February 1, 2008 by Amy Leave a Comment

I’m right in the middle of my busy few days.  I stayed up until 1am last night cleaning the house.  Of course that lasted until 8am when the girls woke up.  I spent a (very) long lunch at the tax office and confirmed we are getting a GREAT refund back.  I need to do some cleanup and a grocery store run before the Arbonne lady shows up tonight.  I’m looking forward to having a few people over tonight.  Should be fun to see everyone at least.
