I’ve been reading the Pioneer Woman for about a year now I guess. She’s like one of those star bloggers that most of you probably already read. I even had a coworker mention out of the blue that his wife reads her. Anyway, I’ve seen her write about how her and her husband got together..a string of posts called Black Heels to Tractor Wheels but I was waiting until it was “done” (not sure when she’s planning to stop the story) to read it but when she posted a new chapter today, my curiosity go the best of me.
I started reading some time this evening after work until Scott wanted to run some errands. And then I found myself wandering through the aisles of Lowe’s tonight, holding Scott’s arm so I knew where to walk with my eyes glued to my iPhone screen. And then I found myself reading it while I watched the kids play in Chick fil A. And then I found myself reading it while I sat with the kids watching TV. And then I found myself at my computer screen reading it tonight. I could. not. quit reading it. I have no idea how long it might be printed out but it’s 35 posts and quite a page-turner post-turner? spectacular story. Please, if you love a good love story, go read it. The best part is it’s real and you can read about them years later on her blog. It’s ten times better reading her blog now that I’ve read Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. So go forth and read!
I almost NEVER, ever miss a day of checking in to see if there might possibly be another chapter! And I was so happy today… because there it was!
Her recipes are killer too! My boys are in love with her… because mommy finds the best recipes when she’s on the computer!! ha
Rachel’s last blog post..This Is What “Bored” Looks Like on Summer Vacation…
I almost wished I would have waited..the wait for another chapter is KILLING me and it will probably be weeks now since the new chapter just came out.
amy’s last blog post..I love love and reading about love
Last year for Mother’s Day my Mom made each of my sisters and me a memory book. Mine was full of photos, my Baptism certificate (from 1968), an envelope of my hair from my very first haircut and all sorts of school memories including the first drawing I made when I went to meet my teacher in 1973. On the front page was written:
Love is all that matters.
Love is everything.
It is the sharing of songs and of silences, and the holding of memories only the heart can see.
In nothing are we as rich as in our memories of love, for they are ours alone and tell our story.
Love’s music may be different to each of us, but oh, how beautiful the dance.
I had never heard of the Pioneer Woman until you suggested reading her story. What a wonderful testament to love!
Carolyn, that memory book sounds so sweet. Love what was written on the front page.
amy’s last blog post..Another answered prayer
I was glued to her posts this last weekend thanks to you! Thank you
Amanda’s last blog post..What’s in it for me?!
I started reading The Pioneer Woman last weekend at your suggestion and have been able to stop since! I am completely hooked…I have spent the last week eating a bagel at my desk during my lunch hour while catching up on her story and I am sure I will do the same today. Everyone keeps wondering why I am laughing out loud in my office when they know I am alone. I can’t wait to read what happens next…
