ONCE AGAIN I missed an appointment for the girls. This time it was Emma’s second tooth filling at the dentist. And now we have to wait over a month until she gets another appointment. Just hold your L-shaped hand to your forehead and call me a Loser. I don’t know why I can’t get these appointment things down. I’ve started putting everything in my iPhone calendar and adding reminders. Apparently I didn’t put one on this one. I started printing out the calendar and taping it on cabinets. That lasted one month and then the kids lost my tape. If anyone is successful at doing the calendar organizing thing..HOW DO YOU DO IT??
I put everything in the iPhone and sync it to my computer. Every other day. Then, when syncing, I add it in pen to our family calendar on the wall. Every week or so, Nick and I go through our personal calendar to make sure they match the family one. The family calendar I use is from FlyLady and it’s totally worth buying. Changed our lives, I kid you not. And the rule is, if it’s not on the wall, it doesn’t count!

I used to follow FlyLady. I learned to purge, purge, purge from her. I always thought I might avoid the “family calendar” but I think I might have to go for it.
When you find something that works, please pass it along. I’m terrible about that too.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. These things happen.
The one tip that I heard is to only have one calendar. I have a desktop one that I was keeping on my…wait for it, wait for it….desk. It was working out pretty well when I had a desktop computer, but now that I have the laptop I am in the kitchen (no where near the desk) so I’m looking for another solution. I’m afraid to go all techie. I think I’m more of a paper kind of girl.
Please let me know if someone gives you a really brilliant solution to this dilemma.
