So I tried using my WordPress iPhone app to type up two posts last night but when I click tap on the menu that says Local Drafts (2), nothing is in the list. I’ve left a message with support and maybe you guys can read it. In summary, it says my neighbor is still seeing his visitors, he got his gun but only has blanks and we’re beginning to believe the issue is related to the war he fought in. The other was a long post complaining about how stressed I was yesterday. Hoping today is better.
There must be something in the air…maybe the idea of the kids going back to school (which means Emma’s first day!) has everyone on edge. My kids’ Godmother and I were just talking about this last night. Both of us have lately found ourselves irritable at night to the point where our sleep was disrupted. Even though work has been fine and the kids are loving their time at Bible Camp I have been finding myself strangely out-of-sorts.
Maybe a couple of hours on your own will help you de-stress.
I’ve been hesitant about Emma going to school thus far, but at this point, I think school it is EXACTLY what she needs. She needs stimulated a lot more and I think after 3 months of being here, she’s ready. I mean, Emma and Lexi have played their little hearts out all summer with minimal TV but Emma just wants to DO something all the time. She’s even gotten to the point where she’s begging to help me clean something. She’s just a project girl. Yesterday, I couldn’t just read her a book, we had to play school and I was a teacher and she had to sit on the rug in front of me to listen. I think the structure of school will be just what she needs.
What a good girl asking to help you clean; my two run away as soon as they hear me coming! It’s great that Emma will be happy to start school…it will make dropping her off that first day much easier for you and Scott. It’s wonderful that you are able to give her such a positive attitude for learning to take to school with her.
Matthew and Leila have been kept very busy with 7 weeks of Bible Camp but I know they are missing their school as well. Leila has put her school supply list on the fridge for us to check everything off at the end of August. Matthew has continued to read everything he can get his hands on all summer. It will be good for them to get back into our regular routine. Of course, they are also both excited that a month into school we are taking them out for two weeks for our vacation. I have already spoken to the school about getting some work to take with us so they do not get too far behind.
Leila has almost finished composing her (very long) letter to your Girls and we have our package ready to send when she is satisfied that she has relayed every bit of information she wanted. I am hoping to get it to you before Emma starts classes.
Oh, that’s cool! We can’t wait. The books I mentioned reading yesterday were some of theirs.
