Scott finally finished up the last part of our hardwood floor project by tiling the laundry room. So much better. Good riddance to that linoleum! We are planning to buy a new washer and dryer today or tomorrow. It will be the first time we buy a new set as a couple. Scott’s parents bought us a new set as our wedding present when we got married.

The tiles go really well with the hardwood and are so straight. Good job, Scott! We are in the process of (finally) renovating our house after living in it for 9 years. It is fun but we are finding that our tastes are very different.

That looks great! We had to make decisions about what to tile and not tile when we bought our house. We tiled everything we possibly could – except the laundry room. With the one strip of floor showing at the front of the room, we felt it wasn’t worth the $500 they were charging for that room. We do have some extra tiles though … maybe we should try doing it ourselves!

Wow. We only paid about $30 for that project 🙂
We were going to put hardwoods everywhere but 1 – we ran out and 2 – we thought it was safer in case there was a water issue.

Wow – I’m glad we didn’t let them do it then! They gave us some leftover tiles and grout too, so I bet it wouldn’t even cost us much at all! Maybe we’ll call Scott for some tips 🙂
And I agree about the tile vs. hardwoods in the laundry room. Good call.
We want to put hardwoods in our living room and dining room at some point …
