Today was a really great day. Felt very “Saturday-ish” to me. I slept in as long as I could before getting to Bible Study at 9:30. We had a great time talking with one another. That time has really become almost a confessional time between women in very different stages of life including age, marriage, spiritually and motherhood, and it’s so interesting to me to get so many viewpoints in such a small group.
When I got home, I did some ironing before we headed out to Moe’s to eat and Wal-Mart where I picked up books 3 and 4 of the Twilight series and Scott and I also got costumes for the costume party at youth group on Wednesday. I think I’m going to wait to tell you what Scott is going to be until I get a picture of him in it. Too much! As for me, you might guess what I chose…a vampiress. Yeah, I know, I’m lame. I haven’t dressed up for Halloween in 25 years so I thought I’d do a little something this year. The kids are really into costumes and the adults all seem to be jazzed for the party so…I bought a black cape, fangs, red lipstick, cool eyelashes and fake blood and I’ll plan to wear my black dress under the cape. Basically I’m going for the city girl vampiress look LOL.
This afternoon was spent cleaning and a little reading before heading to my parents’ for a little while for dinner. When we got home, J&J came over for some coffee to chat. Scott and J headed over to our youth pastor’s house for the UFC fights tonight so I’m left to read all evening. Oh darn.
All in all, a really great family day.
Sounds like we had similar Saturdays. We went to Books a Million and bought books 2 and 3 of the series and I can already tell I’ll need book 4 by the end of the week. I had a high school librarian recommend the series to me last week, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Holy cow, it’s addictive!

I don’t even own an ironing board, much to the chagrin of everyone who must see our rumpled clothes.
Crazy weekend!
I love Saturdays like that. I keep hearing about the Twilight series but assumed that at my advanced age I would probably not enjoy them. I’ll have to check one out.
I can’t wait to see your Halloween photos. Have fun!
Jenny, let me know what you think!
Poppy, this is a newfound chore! I used to never ironed but when Emma started kindergarten I wanted everything neatly pressed and I’ve found I actually LIKE it. Who knew?
Carolyn, you definitely need to read it! I know you would love it!
I am (somewhat) embarrassed to report that I finished book 2 on Saturday and am nearly finished with book 3. I may have to get book 4 tomorrow.
I’m loving these books. So easy to read and enjoyable.

One day?! Wow! I finished Eclipse today after getting it Saturday but I didn’t even pick it up really until 7 last night. I started Breaking Dawn today and it is really good so far. I hope it doesn’t disappoint!
