My Future Blogging Career

I’m realizing almost my entire future blogging career could change based on news coming up soon.  First off, the role of Jac0b Black is supposed to be announced from Summit this week.  Heather and I have created a fan site devoted to Michael Copon (we haven’t technically launched it yet), one of the actors in the running to replace Taylor Lautner.  Things don’t sound good for Michael right now but if by some chance Michael does get it, that could become a very popular blog.  Or not so much.

Secondly, OTH actors are in negotiations right now for Season 7.  From what I gather, the network wants a Season 7 but the contracts all expired after 6 years so they have to make sure everyone they want is on board.  I think there might be a few of them that want out but we’ll see.  It would be tough to lose any of them and I’m not sure if there are any must-haves the CW is counting on.  My guess is if any of the core 5 don’t sign, we don’t get a Season 7.  Anyway, obviously if there is no Season 7, that blog slows down a lot.  I would guess I would keep up with the actors and future projects but I’m sure it wouldn’t be the same.

As for my Privileged blog, it’s limping along.  I’ve been sticking with it, not wanting to get behind if it lasts past a first season.  No news on a second season but numbers haven’t been stellar.  OTH never had stellar season 1 numbers either so I’m not taking that as the only sign.  I guess we’ll see what happens but I’m hoping for the best!

  2. I’m torn on Taylor and Michael. If Taylor can step it up, I’m good. But Michael is there. I liked his acting on OTH and I know he’s gotten better since then and he’s HAWT. I’ll be good either way though (from a Twilight fan perspective)

  3. I go back and forth between wanting a Season 7 because I love the show and not wanting a Season 7 because I’m worried about what drama they will have to write to keep the show going. I love the storyline right now and love the fact my two favourite characters are happy – just happy. I’m cool with that…no crazy drama…just life. I think I would feel like something was missing if one of the core 5 did not sign up. How do you write Haley out (other than sending her out on tour or actually killing her off)? Or Brooke? You can’t have Peyton without Lucas or Lucas without Peyton so what do you do? Hopefully we will know something soon but I can say that I will be in line the moment the Season 6 DVD comes out. This has been my favourite season by far!!

  4. Carolyn, I feel the same way about Season 7. I think they are building up to a really good series finale if they need to. But…who knew the show would be so good in Season 6? I really wasn’t expecting it and maybe they can do Season 7 justice. But you’re right about the core 5. I was thinking Haley on tour would be the only proper way to write her out.
