Scott took me to the circus a few times while we were in high school. It was one of our annual “things”. Funny enough the first memory I have from that is me getting used to his extroversion compared to my introversion. I remember him chatting up the guy sitting beside us and I was like DO YOU KNOW HIM? WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO HIM? My shyness could not fathom striking up a temporary friendship at the circus. But the circus has a funny way of making us like kids…we’re all friends by default!
I took Emma when she was just 2 or 3. She fell asleep halfway through. I guess I was scarred because I haven’t taken the kids back since. But I think at 6 and 8 are GREAT ages to take the girls.
The circus will be in Charlotte at Time Warner Arena January 26-30. The best part is I have a coupon code for you to use to either have a fun date with your significant other or take your kiddos.
Check out this page for more information, a show schedule, and how to purchase tickets.
And be sure to let me know when you’re going. The four of us will be headed out for the January 27th 7pm show!
I received this opportunity including 4 pack of tickets to the show because of my participation in the NC Blog Buzz network. I have pledged to give my honest opinion of the product/event. All opinions are my own.

When the circus train arrives they unload the animals and parade them, usually down the middle of the street, to the venue. Depending on the arrival time and date this is a pretty interesting part of the circus to watch as they unload everything and start setting up. And best of all it doesn’t cost anything to watch.

Any idea when the parade of Annimals is this year 2011?
