Joining with Modern Mrs. Darcy for her monthly link-up for books called Twitterature. The premise of this link-up is to share short, casual reviews of books we’ve been reading.
The past month has been busy as I finished up several books in one weekend and then started my Growth Plan which includes a ton of books.
I’m trying out a new gallery plugin to display the reviews–let me know what you think!

Written for bloggers by a blogger. If you struggle convincing yourself you’re not just a blogger, but a writer too, On Becoming a Writer is for you. Encouraging and practical. Hint: You can borrow for free if you're an Amazon Prime member!

I just realized that I have Denise Hughes’ book. I guess I downloaded it when it was offered for free because I don’t remember purchasing it. So, I’m glad it’s good because you never know about those “free” books. Glad I saw this! I love A Confident Heart and I’m part-way through God-Sized Dream, but I still haven’t really figured out *what* my dream is yet so I’m not hurrying through it–it’s sort of written as if I already have all that figured out so I’m taking my time with it.
I’m listening to Quitter by Jon Acuff right now on audio and it’s really good. I may have to start doing more audiobooks since I’m riding a commuter van to work and it helps pass the commute time.

Leann, if you’re not sure of your dream yet, I’d highly recommend Holley’s previous book You Are Already Amazing. It’s sort of a precursor to the dreams book.
I read Quitter when it first came out and it’s really good too but I think at that time I wasn’t really sure about my dream so while it was good, it wasn’t very applicable at that time.
I have a really hard time concentrating on audio books but maybe because I try to do it at home where I can get super distracted.

Thanks for the tip on Holley’s other book. I’ll have to check it out! Yes, I have to not be doing anything else while listening to an audiobook other than just sitting/riding/relaxing or working out/walking. Those two things are about the only time I can pay attention. I can’t try to read anything or answer emails or anything else that takes up brain waves because I can’t focus. But it’s a good time-passer while commuting.

These look great! I keep hearing wonderful things about Denise’s book, and Holley’s too–but I haven’t read either. Not yet, at least.
The plug-in looks really nice, but extra clicks are no fun. You win some, you lose some?

Agreed on the clicks. It had taken me so long though to figure the plugin out that I was determined to use it 🙂

Amy, thank you so much for including my book with the other wonderful books you included here. And I like that plug-in! Fun!
