My latest fix from Stitch Fix came Thursday while it’s still SO exciting to get, I admit my expectations were a tad lower going in this time.
By the last fix, I was disappointed that I hadn’t yet hit the Stitch Fix jackpot and wanted to keep all five items. But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this fix.
This is first fix where I legitimately could see see all of these items in my closet. The color and style were spot on and it’s buoyed my hopes for future fixes.
Let’s get to it!
3/4 Sleeve Blouse
First up was this red 3/4 sleeve blouse. The color is even more gorgeous in person. I was instantly drawn to this first.
The style and color are just perfect but the problem is I got completely lost in it. It’s even more prominent straight on but basically it looks super boxy. I’d belt it but I look horrible in belts. I’ve had so many people try to say I should do belts but no. Belted shirts just do not work on me.
I usually love blouses like this and even have one or two similar in style but I don’t know, something just isn’t working.
Pink Pointelle Shirt
Next up is this pink pointelle shirt. It has this great tribal pattern and is perfect for spring. I like the style and the fit is great.
But listen up, it is already summer here in the Carolinas and I just wouldn’t get any use out of this for months. Certainly a contender but maybe not what I’m looking to spend my money on right now.
Bubble Necklace
I admit I was disappointed at first to see a jewelry box in my fix as I’m more the $5- jewelry-at-Forever 21 kind of girl but I have to admit, this bubble necklace is just gorgeous. I suppose it is NOT gorgeous with this shirt but the jewels are so pretty in person and the color would be really versatile. I like this a lot even if it is more than I would spend. And oh look, my earring is about to fall out.
Striped Maxi
Stripes and maxis. Sigh. I love them. And this one with the detail at the neckline is just gorgeous. I wish you could see the neckline better but it is REALLY cute in person.
This is one of the priciest item of the bunch so I’m going to super picky here. First, I already have a striped maxi so that doesn’t help. I think the horizontal lines are a bit droopy from the front and it’s not entirely flattering but I think that might just be this picture too. We didn’t get any great ones from the front.
I also feel like it’s a tad short. I wouldn’t be able to wear any heeled sandals.
But if you look at this picture you can see it has a cute racer back and I think the stripes are fine from the side. My other issue is I feel like it might be too fitting around the middle. Scott really loves it though (imagine that) and my friend even took a look and assured me it was not too tight.
Skinny Jeans
And finally, the last item was a pair of skinny jeans. These jeans are hard to get on but are super stretchy and comfy when you do. The color is great and the length is perfect for flats or would work well with boots. As far as jeans go, I think these are a winner. But again, I’m not sure if I want to drop any money on jeans at the start of summer.
So, the jeans and red blouse are out but I’m really considering between the other three. I basically have enough credit to cover one of them. Is the maxi or necklace worth the cost or should I pick up the pink shirt and just wait to wear it?
If you’d like to try out Stitch Fix, I’d love for you to hop over with my affiliate link where I get $25. If you’d like to see my other fixes, here ya go:

Those jeans are fabulous and you should keep them, even if you can’t wear them much until fall. The bubble necklace should also be a keeper. I love that it’s a little different from all of the others in the boutiques and that color is great. What about tucking the red blouse into a skirt? I think it would be super cute that way.

Dani, see my comment below and you know my closet…what would I wear with the necklace? I don’t feel like I have anything to wear with the necklace.

necklace – with the striped maxi you already own perhaps, white jeans and a gray tee, the jeans here and a white tee (ooh or with a mint top, you should get one). Did I give you that mushroom polka dot top you liked so much? If not, you can have it and it would look awesome with that necklace and white shorts or jeans. It could also look great with that green striped top you got at bump, the green dress you love or the black top you had on when you came by my house the other day. See it’s practically neutral! Do have little gold gladiator or T-strap flats? Those would be super cute with that necklace.

I love the jeans and necklace, think those are the keepers

I like the jeans too (sorry, I know that wasn’t one of the options!). I really like the necklace, it’s pretty. I’m a fan of the super cheapo jewelry too but this one would be a good statement piece with lots of things. Not the pink top though. 🙂
I’d send back the maxi (on the grounds that it’s similar to one you already have) and the pink top (I’m not wowed by that piece, and for something you’re buying ahead when you will get several more fixes between now and then it would want to be AHMAAAZING :)) and keep the necklace. And the jeans, if you’re willing to change your mind on them. 🙂 But that’s just me. I’m just jealous that I can’t really do stitch fixes! (postage to and from Australia would be exhorbitant!)

See my comment below…I think you are right that the jeans are still a contender. It’s so hard to find good ones!
I agree on the pink too–not wowed.

I think the jeans and pink shirt look great (and you would be able to wear with other things) and I actually really like the shirt with those jeans, but cost comes into play with me! You already have a lot of jewelry and unless you can think of an outfit that this would knock out of the ballpark, I’d send back. (Especially if this stuff is pricey).

Funny you all are saying jeans because after I was in bed after writing this post I kept thinking maybe the jeans ARE the right thing to keep.
I do really like the necklace but I’m not sure I have anything to go with it.

I love the necklace, but I am like you and tend to buy inexpensive jewelry. (I didn’t keep the necklace in my last Fix because of price even though I really liked it.) I love the maxi dress. Those were my favorite two items! Also, I wear jeans during the summer in Charleston. It’s hard to buy things out of season, though, and that was one of my complaints in both of my Fixes. I sent back a gorgeous blue blazer from my last one because I couldn’t see myself in it until fall.
You have some great options and you look great!

The jeans look great on you, as does the maxi. But if you have a similar maxi I’d send it back, too. The bubble necklace is adorable but you really can find similar stuff cheaply all over the place now. ( Of course, a good argument could be made for not spending your time hunting all over town to find one when you have what you like right there. 🙂 …) I would keep the jeans, definitely. A great pair of jeans is something you should never say ‘No’ to.

I’m in agreement about the jeans. They look great and jeans are always a good option for evenings when it is warm and the bugs are out. I really like the red top (more than the pink one and the maxi dress). It looks fantastic with the tank and white shorts.

Hi,
I’m new to your site… what exactly is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is a personal shopping service. You pay $20 to have a stylist pick out and mail you 5 items. You can choose to send it all back (shipping paid) and the keep the $20 or the $20 goes towards anything you purchase. You just mail the rest back. You can do it one time or as often as you want. Some people do it for special occasions or others do it on a monthly basis. I’ve found it’s a ton of fun and due to credits from referrals, it’s been clothes either free or deeply discounted!
