In this episode, I chat with Sarah Travis.
Sarah is a Scottish gal who moved to the US in 2012 to marry her American dream boy! She struggled through her early twenties failing to see God’s love, allowing hurt to shape and direct her paths. Having been rescued and redeemed by God’s grace and mercy, Sarah is now passionate about sharing the truths of God’s Word with the world. She has a desire to help women to study God’s Word in a way that will help them to be transformed by truth and live a life of freedom.
In this episode, Sarah and I open up the episode chatting about her Scotland and her accent. Sarah then shares the story of how she met her American husband on a missions trip, moved to America to marry him and then how God moved them from DC and then returned them back, restored with a new perspective. Each step was made in obedience with faith.

Scripture
In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9
At the Lord’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp. When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the Lord’s order and did not set out. Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the Lord’s command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out. Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out. Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out. Numbers 9:18-22
The day after tomorrow, toward evening, go to the place where you hid when this trouble began, and wait by the stone Ezel. 1 Samuel 20:19
If we are faithless,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot disown himself. 2 Timothy 2:13

So honored to share how the Lord has taken me on a journey of faith over the past few years. Thank you Amy for this opportunity — even just the process of preparing for speaking to you was a blessing as it made me sit and reflect on the Lord’s faithfulness and goodness and just the incredible ways that He has worked in our lives during this time 🙂 Thank you friend xox

Oh my word. …. this was awesome an affirmation of faith. But it sounded like Abraham taking Isaac up the mountain, God wanted to make sure Abraham loved him, God, more than anything, even his son. God gave her husband his “dream” job back.
Sarah really spoke to my heart in giving me a deeper understanding of what foster and adoptive kids go through when they are uprooted from everything, with words describing what they are going through, that they often cannot express! Thank you for doing this interview!

Oh, I love that perspective on both of those things.
I didn’t think about relating it to adoption, but you’re totally right. It’s so hard to know what’s going through their minds and I think this does give a little peek into it.
