Happy Wednesday to you!

I spent a lot of time in the pool this week and was at the office the last two days so I only caught one casual outfit this weekend.

I wore this on Saturday for errands and school shoe shopping since I had a reward dollars and birthday credit at Rack Room.  As you can see, the girls aren’t the only ones that got some new shoes.  These are a tad out of the box for me, but I loved the pattern and color.  Plus, it matched my outfit and I ended up getting them for $9! Score!

First, thanks for your input on yesterday’s post.  We’ve decided to pick out a couple paint colors and then let him decide when he comes for his day visit.  We’ll paint in between that and placement so when he comes to stay permanently, it will be ready for him. That way, he feels like it’s his room, but we’re not tearing his room apart first thing when he gets here either.  The tree and mirror are also going! Thanks so much for helping!

Alright, on to WIWW.  This week was more casual Summer.  Nothing ground-breaking here but I at least am getting out of my workout clothes.

This outfit was a sort of casual date, if you call a Saturday morning visit to a furniture store a date.  These days, we definitely call it that.  It’s in a huge old school without air conditioning so I had to go with a tank top and shorts to keep cool.  The good news is we found what we needed and were in and out quickly.

This was my outfit on Sunday.  Lexi ended up having a fever so the only place I went after church was Urgent Care.  The really good news is the fever and sore throat disappeared by Monday and no other symptoms. Thank you, Lord!

I wore this on a simple work from home day. I did have to go to Charlotte to get a TB test to finish up the medical paperwork for the adoption. We also did some school supply shopping and a few other errands.  It’s so hard to believe supplies are already out.  And I had this little moment checking out at Staples realizing I could possibly have to do it all over again for another child in a few weeks.  I debated going ahead and shopping off his list, but ended up checking out and moving on.  But still, thinking of doing things like that in 3’s instead of 2’s surprised me.

Another work from home day.  We did get out to get the car washed because they are finally working on our van tomorrow to get the dents out after the bad hail storm we had here last month.

So far this summer, I’ve spent a lot of time in really simple outfits.  In fact, I’m lucky to get shoes on. Many days, I’m still in my yoga pants at lunchtime after working out right before work.  If you take that into account plus my tripod being broken, WIWW has been sparse here the past months.

But, I’ve missed participating in WIWW and being put together a little more, so I challenged myself this past week to get back in the swing of posting.  Scott had to literally tape my tripod back together so I could use it! And with that, I have just a few casual outfits this week.

If there is one piece of clothing I have loved this summer, it is my red shorts. Surprisingly, they go with a ton of different tops.  So while I never have gotten a lot of colored jeans, I do enjoy my colorful shorts.

I wore this outfit on Sunday and remembered why I’ve been leaning towards dresses all summer.  It’s so hot! No worries, though, I spent most of the afternoon out at the pool.

Big thanks to my sister who bought me that orange bracelet while she was in Nicaragua last week with Bless Back Worldwide.

I wore this outfit this weekend. We made a library run, picked up some groceries and went out for Mexican.

Happy Wednesday to you all.  It’s been pretty warm here this week, so shorts! I am so much happier without winter!

This is a Stitch Fix shirt from last year and some new shorts I bought from The Loft on clearance at the end of last season. I wore this Saturday when we went grocery shopping, helping my sister move some of her stuff into her fiance’s place (so weird!) and out to eat.

I wore this…some time last week. I’m pretty sure I was just working at home. Oh, I think this was the day I went to eat lunch with Emma at school. I had spent the last 3 days working away from home so I was ready to have a comfy day. I bought these Keds when we were in Tennessee the other week.  It brought great memories back of wearing Keds as a teenager.  Who else had pair after pair of white Keds??

Happy Wednesday!  Already halfway through the week!  Since we were on vacation and I was mostly wearing a jacket the entire time, I didn’t get a ton of pictures this week, but here’s a few!

This was my Easter outfit.  I picked up the dress and necklace at The Loft outlet while we were in Tennessee this weekend.

I wore this last week out shopping for some bathing suits for the girls.

We had a special day at work yesterday and got to do a scavenger hunt.  This picture is in the heart of uptown Charlotte.  Have I mentioned how much I’m loving my white jeans this Spring? The shirt is a black sheer with a pleated front from The Loft.  You can’t see it, but I have my animal print flats on and my matching Miche bag.

Alright, it seems like Pinterest is not playing nice anymore. SOS!  I think Pinterest quit letting people embed the pin on people’s sites!  This could be the end of WIWW here as we know it. Help?  Is anyone seeing the ability to do it somehow?

What happened to all of our warm weather??  Well, this week has been cold and rainy but last week was really nice and I caught a few of those outfits.

If you follow on the Facebook page, you would have seen this dress last week after I wore it to work.  I initially wanted a necklace but then couldn’t find any of mine that worked.  I asked everyone what they thought would go and I heard a bright statement necklace, silver and gold statement necklace or pearls.  I haven’t gotten anything yet, so what do you say?

Sooo, this isn’t the best picture of an outfit ever. The wind was crazy and I think we were just trying to get out the door to go eat dinner if I remember correctly.  I really wanted to show you this because I’m super excited about my new coral silk shirt and the black lace shorts.  Also, I bought those animal print sandals on clearance in December and it was my first time wearing them.  So fun!

I wore this outfit to the Priscilla Shirer simulcast Saturday.  The whole outfit is new other than the shoes.  I wish you could see the detail of the lace and the necklace better. 

It was cold at the simulcast so during one of our extended breaks, we hopped over to Target where I just happened to find a cardigan that worked perfectly.

I love the pattern. Admittedly, I think it ages me a bit but I’m calling it a classic look.

Whew, Wednesday slipped up on me this week.  I finished this post last minute and then hit publish before I went to work this morning only to find out it errored out.  So, this is post a little late in the day.  Anyway, better late than never?

It was a record high of 86 today in the Carolinas. Nothing could make me happier!

Forgive all the wrinkles but y’all, shorts and sandals!   Whee!  I’m so excited for the warmer weather.

The scarf made another appearance this week.  Loving it!
