Apologies, iPhone

February 19, 2010 by Amy

Ouch.  I dropped it, just like I have the other 20 times, in our driveway.  I was shocked to turn it over and find this time the screen didn’t survive.  The good news is it still works and I have a screen protector on it so I can still use it without slicing my fingers up every time.  You’d think I hated the thing.  This is the same one that took a dip in the toilet water about a year ago.  So apologies, iPhone, it may not feel like it sometimes, but I do love you.

    I sure feel for you. My iPod Touch has 2 large cracks that go out from the center…my screen protector is holding the glass together like yours. I looked online and you can order the glass for around $60 so I am living with the crack…I figure I will be buying a iPad soon anyway. Not sure if they will have a iPad sleeve for working out though lol.

    It’s kinda like the teddy bear that’s SO loved it’s all worn out … except the iPhone is just not quite as cuddly … although I’ll admit I’ve woken up a few times with mine in my arms.

    And how great is that, that it still works? Go iPhone!

    @Chris $60 isn’t too bad…especially compared to the $400 replacement price!

    @Melissa a teddy bear is a great analogy! And yes, I’m impressed after so much it is still working!

    Wow! That’s really cracked! At least it will work until you can get a new one. I think Apple needs to work on making their fabulous iPhone’s more durable..
