Farewell, My Friend

May 22, 2010 by Amy

iphone_550x550_540x539  The same iPhone that stared at me from the bottom of the toilet and sustained heavy but not fatal damages from our driveway is now officially dead.  As of today, it will not hold a charge.  It went dead and can not be revived.

I’m up for a contract/upgrade but I’m holding out for the new iPhone in another 4 weeks. That’s the only way I’m willing to get one.  Mom offered her old Nokia to hold me over.  What will I do without email, twitter, weather, words with friends, storm sounds, iPod etc and etc for 4 weeks though?!  I know there’s a lot worse that could be happening but I’m not gonna lie.  This is going to be different.

When my iPhone died in the toilet in February, I felt the same way. I still do! I'm using my old touch screen LG TU915 and it has internet etc but it is so slow. I too, am holding out for the new iPhone but I'll unfortunately have to pay almost full price. Hopefully you'll get the new one and hopefully it'll be better than the last. For the price, they should be able to withstand much more than they do!

I can't believe it has lasted as long as it has. It really has held up well for all I've put it through.
